Why Don’t They Listen?

You’re singing a song,
A beautiful song.
It screams life —
Incessant melody,
Expressing both love,
And despair, and hope,
Hate and misery,
Joy and wonder…

You’re singing a song;
It penetrators the dark,
It cuts through matter,
It manipulates time.
Were humanity to hear
This song, all the war
And death would stop.
Tell me why,
Why don’t they listen?
